FIT & GRADING REVIEW
Request a size-set sample when fit consistency across the full range needs validation beyond the approved base size.
A size-set sample is especially useful when proportional grading alone may not be enough to confirm fit, support, coverage, and movement across the intended activewear size range.
When a size set adds value
- Compression leggings and fitted activewear
- Sports bras with structured support
- Bodysuits, unitards, or jumpsuits
- Styles with complex panels or seam placement
- New or significantly revised grading rules
- Extended or plus-size ranges
- Fabrics with strong stretch or compression
What the review should check
- Approved grading rules and Points of Measurement (POMs)
- Waistband position, rise, and overall coverage
- Compression, support, and strap length
- Panel and seam placement on intended body sizes
- Range of motion during the intended activity
Review before bulk cutting
After the base size is approved, representative sizes—or the complete size range where required—can be checked against the approved grading rules. This can identify grading issues while corrections are generally easier to make.
At Call The STYLE, the need for size-set sampling can be determined according to the product design, fabric, size range, fit requirements, and brand approval process before bulk production.
