Any design or specification change requested after bulk production approval should be documented and reviewed before implementation.
The purpose is to make the requested change, current production status, commercial impact, and final approval clear before materials or work are affected further.
Record the change request
- Affected style, color, size, or SKU
- Requested design or specification change
- Updated Tech Pack, artwork, BOM, or packaging file
- Reason for the change
- Current production stage
- Impact on materials, labor, cost, and lead time
- Person responsible for approval
Check the production status first
Before approving a change, the brand and manufacturer should confirm whether fabric has already been ordered, panels have been cut, logos applied, garments sewn, or packaging produced.
Changes made after these stages may require rework, replacement materials, additional cost, or a revised delivery schedule.
Use one controlled, dated revision
Verbal instructions or individual chat messages should not be treated as final production approval. The latest approved revision should be dated, clearly identified, and shared with the relevant production teams.
At Call The STYLE, approved changes can be reviewed against the current production status before implementation so that their impact on quality, cost, materials, and delivery timing is understood and confirmed in writing.
