After activewear sampling starts, print artwork revisions should be documented before they are used for a new strike-off, sample, or production step. The latest approved file should clearly replace the previous version.

Record the revision

  • Artwork file name, version number, and date
  • Affected style, color, size, SKU, or pattern panel
  • Changed print method, colors, dimensions, scale, or placement
  • Updated repeat, orientation, bleed, or seam allowance where required
  • Special finish changes, including silicone, reflective, raised, or metallic effects

Confirm before the next step

  • Mark the previous file as obsolete
  • Update the Tech Pack and artwork-placement map
  • Review the revised artwork against the garment pattern and fabric
  • Request a new strike-off or physical print sample when needed
  • Confirm final placement and appearance on the physical garment sample

Check the actual fabric result

For printed fabrics or complex graphics, screen colors are not final approval. A strike-off or physical print sample can confirm color, scale, sharpness, coverage, and appearance on the selected fabric.
